Hadith 30:3804
Hashim narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Asim, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer until the night had advanced, and a third of it, or nearly that, had passed. Then he went out to the mosque, and the people were in groups, and they were few. He said: He became angry with an anger the likes of which I do not know that I have ever seen him angry with a more intense one. Then he said: "If a man were to invite people to a bone or two targets, they would come to him for that and would not stay behind, yet they stay behind from this prayer. I have indeed considered ordering a man to lead the people in prayer, and then I would follow those houses whose inhabitants have stayed behind from this prayer and set them on fire upon them."
