Musnad Ahmad 30:3822

Hashim narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah, that he said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, decreed regarding the fetus of a woman from Banu Lihyan of Hudhayl that fell dead, [the compensation of] a male slave or a female slave." Then, the woman against whom the compensation of the slave was decreed passed away. So, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, decreed that her inheritance belongs to her children and her husband, and that the blood money (diya) is upon her paternal relatives ('asaba).
