Musnad Ahmad 30:383

Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Leave me as I have left you, for those who were before you were only destroyed by their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. So if I forbid you from a thing, then avoid it; and if I command you to do a thing, then perform of it as much as you are able."
