Kathir narrated to us, Ja'far narrated to us, Yazid ibn al-Asamm narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "My likeness and your likeness, O nation, is like a man who kindled a fire at night. Then the moths and the creatures that frequent the fire began to come toward it. He began to drive them away, but they overcame him, throwing themselves into the fire. And I am holding onto your waistbands, calling you to Paradise, and you are overcoming me, throwing yourselves into the fire."
