Musnad Ahmad 30:3846

Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Sa'id al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadra, from a man from the Tafawa tribe, who said: I stayed as a guest with Abu Hurayrah. He said: I have not met a man among the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who was more diligent, nor more attentive to a guest than him. While I was with him, he was on a bed of his, and below him was a black slave girl of his, and with him was a bag containing pebbles and date pits. He would say, "Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah," until when he had exhausted what was in the bag, he would throw it to her, and she would collect them and put them back in the bag, then hand it back to him. He said to me: "Shall I not tell you about myself and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" I said: "Yes." He said: "While I was suffering from a fever in the mosque of Medina, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the mosque and said: 'Who has noticed the young man from Daws? Who has noticed the young man from Daws?' Someone said to him: 'He is that one, suffering from a fever in the corner of the mosque where you see, O Messenger of Allah.' So he came and placed his hand upon me and said something good. I stood up, and he went until he stood in the place where he prays. With him that day were two rows of men and one row of women—or two rows of women and one row of men—and he turned to them and said: 'If Satan makes me forget something of my prayer, let the men say "Subhan Allah," and let the women clap.'" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed and did not forget anything of his prayer. When he finished with the taslim, he turned his face toward them and said: "Stay in your places. Is there any man among you who, when he goes to his wife, closes his door and lowers his curtain, then comes out and speaks, saying: 'I did such and such with my wife, and I did such and such with my wife'?" They remained silent. He then turned to the women and said: "Is there any among you who speaks of this?" A young girl, kneeling on one of her knees, rose up so that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) could see her and hear her speech, and she said: "Yes, by Allah, they do speak of it, and they (the women) do speak of it." He said: "Do you know what the likeness of one who does that is? The likeness of one who does that is like a male devil and a female devil who meet each other in the street and satisfy their need with one another while the people are looking at them." Then he said: "Beware, let no man lie with another man, and no woman with another woman, except with a child or a parent." He mentioned a third, but I forgot it. "Beware, the perfume of men is that whose scent is perceived but whose color is not apparent. Beware, the perfume of women is that whose color is apparent but whose scent is not perceived."
