Hadith 30:39
Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Umarah, from Abu Zur‘ah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has guaranteed for the one who goes out in His cause—not going out except for striving in My cause, believing in Me, and affirming My messengers—that I will admit him into Paradise, or return him to his dwelling from which he went out, having attained what he attained of reward or spoils. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no wound that is inflicted in the cause of Allah, but it will come on the Day of Resurrection in the same state as it was the day it was inflicted; its color will be the color of blood, and its scent will be the scent of musk. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, were it not that it would be difficult for the Muslims, I would never stay behind from any expedition fighting in the cause of Allah. But I do not find the means to take them with me, and they do not feel comfortable staying behind after me. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I would love to fight in the cause of Allah and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed."
حدثنا محمد بن فضيل، عن عمارة، عن أبي زرعة، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " انتدب الله عز وجل لمن خرج في سبيله، لا يخرج إلا جهادا في سبيلي، وإيمانا بي، وتصديق رسولي ، فهو علي ضامن أن أدخله الجنة، أو أرجعه إلى مسكنه الذي خرج منه، نائلا ما نال من أجر أو غنيمة. والذي نفس محمد بيده، ما من كلم يكلم في سبيل الله، إلا جاء يوم القيامة كهيئته يوم كلم، لونه لون دم، وريحه ريح مسك. والذي نفس محمد بيده، لولا أن أشق على المسلمين، ما قعدت خلاف سرية تغزو في سبيل الله أبدا، ولكني لا أجد سعة فيتبعوني، ولا تطيب أنفسهم فيتخلفون بعدي. والذي نفس محمد بيده، لوددت أن أغزو في سبيل الله، فأقتل، ثم أغزو، فأقتل، ثم أغزو، فأقتل "
