Musnad Ahmad 30:391

Yazid narrated to us, Hisham and Abd al-Wahhab informed us, Hisham informed us, from Yahya, from Abu Ja'far, that he heard Abu Hurairah saying: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "When the last third of the night remains, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, descends to the lowest heaven and says: 'Who is it that calls upon Me, so that I may answer him? Who is it that seeks My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him? Who is it that seeks provision from Me, so that I may provide for him? Who is it that seeks the removal of harm, so that I may remove it from him?' [This continues] until the dawn breaks."
