Musnad Ahmad 30:421

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The needy person (miskin) is not the one whom a date or two, or a meal or two, turns away." They said: "Then who is the needy person, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The one who does not find sufficiency, and people do not know of his need so that they might give charity to him." Al-Zuhri said: "And that is the deprived one (al-mahrum)."
