Musnad Ahmad 30:470

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Ibrahim narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Adam and Moses (peace be upon them both) debated. Moses said to him: 'Are you Adam, whom your sin caused to be expelled from Paradise?' Adam said to him: 'And are you Moses, whom Allah chose with His speech and His message, yet you blame me for a matter that was decreed for me before I was created?'" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "So Adam defeated Moses in the argument, so Adam defeated Moses in the argument."
