Hadith 30:513

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, Thabit ibn Qays narrated to me, that Abu Hurayrah said: A wind overtook the people on the road to Makkah, and 'Umar ibn al-Khattab was on pilgrimage, and it became intense for them. 'Umar said to those around him: "Who will tell us about the wind?" But they did not return anything to him. What 'Umar asked about reached me, so I urged my mount until I caught up with him. I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I was informed that you asked about the wind, and I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'The wind is from the spirit (rawh) of Allah; it brings mercy and it brings punishment. So when you see it, do not revile it, and ask Allah for its good, and seek refuge in Him from its evil.'"
