Musnad Ahmad 30:585

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: Two women from Hudhayl fought, and one of them threw a stone at the other, hitting her abdomen and killing her, and she cast out a fetus. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) decreed her blood money to be upon the *'aqilah* (the paternal relatives), and for her fetus, a *ghurrah* (a slave): a male slave or a female slave. A speaker said: "How can blood money be paid for one who did not eat, nor drink, nor speak, nor cry out? Such a case is void." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, as Abu Hurayrah claimed: "This is one of the brothers of the soothsayers."
