'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ibn Tawus, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: I have not seen anything more similar to *al-lamam* (minor sins) than what Abu Hurayrah narrated from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "Indeed, Allah the Almighty has written for the son of Adam his share of adultery, which he will inevitably attain. The adultery of the eye is the looking, the adultery of the tongue is the speaking, and the soul desires and craves, while the private part confirms that or denies it."
