Hadith 30:63
'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Every newborn is born upon the *fitrah* (natural disposition), then his parents make him a Jew, or a Christian, or a Magian, just as an animal produces an offspring—do you perceive any mutilation in it?"
حدثنا عبد الأعلى، عن معمر، عن الزهري، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن أبي هريرة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " كل مولود يولد على الفطرة، فأبواه يهودانه، أو ينصرانه أو يمجسانه، كما تنتج البهيمة بهيمة، هل تحسون فيها من جدعاء؟ " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
