'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj and Malik narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "If you say to your companion while the Imam is delivering the sermon, 'Listen silently,' then you have engaged in idle talk." Ibn Jurayj said: And Ibn Shihab informed me, from 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, from Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Qariz, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the like of it.
