Musnad Abu Hurairah (RA)

Hadith 30:671

Al-Zuhri said: And Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib informed me, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said when he was taken on the Night Journey: "I met Musa, peace be upon him." And he described him, saying: "A man—he said: I think he said—tall and lanky, with straight hair, as if he were one of the men of Shanu'ah." He said: "And I met ‘Isa, peace be upon him." And he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, described him, saying: "Of medium height, reddish-white, as if he had just come out of a *dimas*"—meaning a bathhouse. He said: "And I saw Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and I am the most resembling of his children to him." He said: "Then I was brought two vessels; in one of them was milk, and in the other was wine. It was said to me: 'Take whichever of them you wish.' So I took the milk and drank it. It was said to me: 'You have been guided to the *fitrah* (natural disposition), and you have attained the *fitrah*. Had you taken the wine, your nation would have gone astray.'"
