Musnad Ahmad 30:765

Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Abu Ma'shar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Qays, who said: Abu Hurayrah was asked: "Did you hear from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: 'Bad omens are in three: in the dwelling, the horse, and the woman'?" He said: "I said: 'Then I would be saying about the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, what he did not say. But I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "The truest of bad omens is the good omen (al-fa'l), and the evil eye is true."'"
