Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Abbas al-Jurayri, who said: I heard Abu ‘Uthman narrating from Abu Hurayrah: That they were afflicted with hunger, and he said: And we were seven. He said: "So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, gave me seven dates, one date for every person."
