Musnad Ahmad 30:851

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "An 'ifrit (a powerful demon) from the jinn escaped upon me last night to interrupt my prayer, but Allah enabled me to seize him. I grabbed him and wanted to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that you might all see him in the morning. He said: Then I remembered the supplication of my brother Sulayman: 'My Lord, grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me.' He said: So he (the jinn) was driven away, humiliated."
