Musnad Ahmad 30:859

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Mughirah, from al-Sha‘bi, from Muharrir ibn Abi Hurayrah, from his father, Abu Hurayrah, who said: I was with ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent him to the people of Makkah with *Bara’ah* (Surah al-Tawbah). He said: "What were you calling out?" He said: "We were calling out: 'That no one shall enter Paradise except a believer, and no one shall circumambulate the House (the Ka'bah) while naked. Whoever has a treaty between himself and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then his term or duration is four months. Once the four months have passed, then Allah is free from the polytheists, and His Messenger. And no polytheist shall perform Hajj to this House after this year.'" He said: "So I kept calling out until my voice became hoarse."
