Hadith 30:867
Anas ibn Iyad narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Had narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought a man who had drunk [alcohol]. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Strike him." He said: So among us were those who struck him with their hands, those who struck him with their sandals, and those who struck him with their garments. When he turned away, some of the people said: "May Allah disgrace you." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Do not say this. Do not aid the devil against him, but say: 'May Allah have mercy on you.'"
