Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Abi Fudayk narrated to us, al-Dahhak ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn 'Abd Allah, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, that he said: "I have not prayed behind anyone after the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, whose prayer was more similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, than so-and-so." Sulayman said: "He used to lengthen the first two rak'ahs of Dhuhr and shorten the last two. He would shorten 'Asr, recite the short surahs of the Mufassal in Maghrib, recite the medium surahs of the Mufassal in 'Isha', and recite the long surahs of the Mufassal in Subh."
