Hadith 30:88
Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Shu‘bah, from al-‘Ala’, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said. And Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, [saying] Shu‘bah narrated to us, [saying] I heard al-‘Ala’ [narrating] from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Charity has never decreased wealth, and a man does not pardon a grievance except that Allah increases him in honor thereby, and no servant humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him." And Ibn Ja‘far said: "A man or anyone, except that Allah raises him."
حدثنا ابن أبي عدي، عن شعبة، عن العلاء، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. ومحمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، قال: سمعت العلاء، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ما نقصت صدقة من مال، ولا عفا رجل عن مظلمة إلا زاده الله بها عزا، ولا تواضع عبد لله إلا رفعه الله " وقال ابن جعفر: " رجل أو أحد إلا رفعه الله "
