'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Musa—meaning ibn 'Ali—from his father, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Marwan, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "The worst thing in a man is intense greed that makes him anxious, and cowardice that strips him of his heart."
