Musnad Abu Hurairah (RA)

Hadith 30:976

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ja'far—meaning Ibn Sulayman—narrated to us, from Abu Tariq, from al-Hasan, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Who will take five qualities from me, so he may act upon them, or teach them to someone who will act upon them?" I said: "I will, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "So he took my hand and counted them therein," then he said: "Beware of forbidden things, and you will be the most devout of people. Be content with what Allah has apportioned for you, and you will be the richest of people. Do good to your neighbor, and you will be a believer. Love for people what you love for yourself, and you will be a Muslim. And do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter kills the heart."
