Musnad Ahmad 6:17

Abu Amir narrated to us, Sulayman ibn Sufyan al-Madini narrated to us, Bilal ibn Yahya ibn Talhah ibn Ubayd Allah narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when he saw the crescent moon, would say: "O Allah, bring it upon us with blessing, faith, safety, and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah."
