Musnad Ahmad 6:3

Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir narrated to me, from Mu'adh ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Uthman al-Taymi, from his father, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Uthman, who said: We were with Talhah ibn 'Ubayd Allah while we were in the state of ihram, and a bird was gifted to us while Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate it, and some of us abstained and did not eat. When Talhah woke up, he agreed with those who had eaten it and said: "We ate it with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
