Musnad Ahmad 31:156

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Dawud ibn Abi Hind narrated to us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land of dabb (lizards), so what do you command us?" He said: "It has reached me that a nation from the Children of Israel was transformed into beasts, and I do not know which beasts they are." He neither commanded nor forbade.
