Musnad Ahmad 31:228

Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from al-Nu’man ibn Abi al-‘Ayyash, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, the person of the lowest status among the people of Paradise is a man whom Allah turned his face away from the Fire toward Paradise, and a tree with shade was represented to him. He said: 'O my Lord, bring me forward to this tree so that I may be in its shade.' Allah said: 'If I do that, will you perhaps ask Me for something else?' He said: 'No, by Your Might.' So Allah brought him forward to it. Then a tree with shade and fruit was represented to him. He said: 'O my Lord, bring me forward to this tree so that I may be in its shade and eat from its fruit.' Allah said to him: 'If I give you that, will you perhaps ask Me for something else?' He says: 'No, by Your Might.' So Allah brings him forward to it. Then another tree is represented to him, possessing shade, fruit, and water. He says: 'O my Lord, bring me forward to this tree so that I may be in its shade, eat from its fruit, and drink from its water.' He says to him: 'If I do that, will you perhaps ask Me for something else?' He says: 'No, by Your Might, I will not ask You for anything else.' So Allah brings him forward to it, and the gate of Paradise is revealed to him. He says: 'O my Lord, bring me forward to the gate of Paradise so that I may be under the eaves of Paradise and look at its people.' So Allah brings him forward to it, and he sees the people of Paradise and what is in it. He says: 'O my Lord, admit me into Paradise.' He said: So Allah admits him into Paradise. He said: When he enters Paradise, he says: 'Is this for me?' He said: So Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) says to him: 'Wish.' So he wishes, and Allah reminds him: 'Ask for such and such,' until when his wishes are exhausted, Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) says: 'It is yours, and ten times like it.' He said: Then he enters Paradise, and his two wives from the wide-eyed houris enter upon him. They say to him: 'Praise be to Allah who brought you to life for us, and brought us to life for you.' He said: He says: 'No one has been given the like of what I have been given.' He said: And the person of the lightest punishment among the people of the Fire will be shod with two sandals of fire, from which his brain will boil due to the heat of his sandals."
