Musnad Ahmad 31:237

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, my father narrated to me, 'Abd al-'Aziz—meaning Ibn Suhayb—narrated to us, he said: Abu Nadrah narrated to me, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that Jibril, peace be upon him, came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Are you ill, O Muhammad?" He said: "Yes." He said: "In the name of Allah, I perform *ruqyah* (incantation) upon you from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may He heal you. In the name of Allah, I perform *ruqyah* upon you."
