Musnad Ahmad 31:269

Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Atiyyah al-Awfi, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The wealthy have perished." They said: "Except whom?" He said: "The wealthy have perished." They said: "Except whom?" He said: "The wealthy have perished." They said: "Except whom?" He said: —until we feared that it had become inevitable— then he said: "Except for him who says like this, and like this, and like this—and they are few."
