Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah informed us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr, from Qaza‘ah, who said: I heard Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri say: I heard four things from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they amazed me and delighted me—‘Affan said: And they delighted me—: "He forbade a woman from traveling for a distance of two days—‘Affan said: Or two nights—unless her husband or a mahram (unmarriageable relative) is with her." "And he forbade prayer at two times: after the dawn prayer until the sun rises, and after the afternoon prayer until it sets." "And he forbade fasting on two days: the day of the Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha) and the day of the Breaking of the Fast (Eid al-Fitr)." And he said: "Do not undertake a journey except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque of mine." ‘Affan said in his narration: ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr said: He informed me, he said: I heard Qaza‘ah, the freed slave of Ziyad.
