Musnad Ahmad 31:307

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, who said: I heard Ibn Wadaak—and Hajjaj said: from Abu al-Wadaak—saying: I will not drink *nabidh* (fermented drink) after I heard Abu Sa‘id say: A man who was intoxicated was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He said: "I did not drink wine; I only drank raisins and dates in a gourd." He said: "So he ordered him to be pushed with hands and struck with sandals, and he forbade the gourd, and he forbade raisins and dates," meaning that they should be mixed.
