Hadith 31:327
Abu Kamil narrated to us, Layth ibn Sa’d narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from ‘Iyad ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Sa’d, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: A man was afflicted during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding fruits he had purchased, and his debt became great. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Give charity to him." He said: So the people gave charity to him, but that did not reach the fulfillment of his debt. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Take what you have found, and you have nothing but that."
