Musnad Ahmad 31:355

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "You claim that my kinship does not benefit my people. By Allah, my kinship is connected in this world and the Hereafter. When the Day of Resurrection comes, a people will be raised for me and they will be ordered to the left. A man will say: 'O Muhammad, I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so.' And another will say: 'I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so.' I will say: 'As for the lineage, I have recognized it, but you introduced [innovations] after me, and you turned back on your heels in retreat.'"
