Hadith 31:391

Isma'il ibn 'Umar Abu al-Mundhir narrated to us, Dawud ibn Qays al-Farra' narrated to us, 'Iyad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh narrated to us, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go out on the day of 'Eid al-Fitr, he would pray those two rak'ahs with the people. Then he would say the taslim, stand up, and face the people while they were sitting, and he would say, "Give charity," three times. The ones who gave the most charity were the women, with an earring, a ring, or something else. If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a need to send an expedition to the people, he would mention it to them; otherwise, he would depart.
