Musnad Ahmad 31:4

Hushaym narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa’id, who said: Ma’iz ibn Malik came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him that he had committed an indecency, so he turned him away repeatedly. He said: Then he ordered him to be stoned. He said: So we went out and stoned him. He said: We went to the Harrah and stoned him, then we returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him. When it was evening, he stood up, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "What is the matter with some people..." (a word was dropped from me regarding my father) "...who..."
