Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu'bah informed us, from Abu al-Tayyah, from Abu al-Wadak, who said: I will not drink nabidh after I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: A man was brought to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. They said: "He is intoxicated." He said: "I only drank raisins and dates in a gourd." He said: So he struck him with sandals and pushed him with hands, and he forbade that raisins and dates be mixed together.
