Musnad Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA)

Hadith 31:479

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Sa'id al-Jurayri informed us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would acquire a new garment, he would name it by its name—a turban, or a shirt, or a mantle—then he would say: "O Allah, to You is the praise; You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good, and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of that for which it was made."
