Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Ja‘far ibn Sulayman narrated to me, al-Mu‘alla ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from al-‘Ala’ ibn Bashir al-Muzani—who used to weep much at the mention [of Allah] and was brave at the time of encounter [in battle]—from Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji, from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, the like of it, and he added in it: "Then he regrets, so the custodian brings it to him and says to him: 'We do not accept anything that we have given.'"
