Hadith 31:518

Yahya narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Qays, who said: Iyad narrated to me, Abu Sa’id narrated to me, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to go out on the day of Eid—Yahya said: I do not know it except that he said: al-Fitr and al-Adha—and he would pray two rak'ahs with the people. Then he would stand upright and face the people with his face and say: "Give charity." And those who gave the most charity were the women. Abd al-Razzaq said: With a ring, an earring, and a thing—and he mentioned its meaning. If he had a need, or wanted to send an expedition, he would speak; otherwise, he would depart.
