Musnad Ahmad 31:554

'Abd al-Razzaq and Rawh narrated to us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, Abu Qaza'ah informed me, that Abu Nadrah informed him, and Hasan informed them both, that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri informed him, that when the delegation of 'Abd al-Qays came to the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, they said: "O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us your ransom, what is permissible for us regarding drinks?" He said: "Do not drink from the *naqir* (hollowed-out trunk)." They said: "O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us your ransom, do you know what the *naqir* is?" He said: "Yes, a tree trunk whose middle is hollowed out. And [do not drink] from the *duba'* (gourd), nor from the *hantamah* (green glazed jar). And you must use the *muwakka* (tied-mouth skin)." Rawh said: "The *muwakka*" twice.
