Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, from Sahm ibn Minjab, from Qaza’ah, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A woman shall not travel for three [days], except with a mahram (a relative with whom marriage is permanently prohibited)." Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Mis’ar narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah—my father said: "Thus did Yahya ibn Adam say"—from Qaza’ah, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A woman shall not travel for more than two days, except with her husband or a mahram of hers." I found this hadith in my father’s book in his own handwriting, and I believe I heard it from him on other occasions: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Isma’il ibn Muslim al-Naji informed me, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri: "That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) repeated a verse until morning."
