Hadith 31:608

Abu Sa‘id narrated to us, Abu ‘Aqil narrated to us, he said: Abu Nadrah narrated to us, from Abu Sa‘id, who said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "The staple food of my family is the dabb (lizard)." He did not answer him. He did not go far, then he returned to him, and he did not answer him. He returned to him a third time. He said: "Verily, Allah the Exalted cursed or became angry with a tribe of the Children of Israel, and they were transformed into beasts. I do not know, perhaps it is some of them, so I will not eat them, nor will I forbid them."
