Yunus narrated to us, Fulayh narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Thabit, who said: My father narrated to me that Abdullah ibn Umar passed by him and said to him: "Where are you heading, O Abu Abd al-Rahman?" He said: "I intended to go to Abu Sa'id al-Khudri." So I went with him. He said: Ibn Umar said: "O Abu Sa'id, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbidding the meat of the sacrificial animals, and some things regarding drinks, and the visiting of graves. And it has reached me that you are narrating from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding that." Abu Sa'id said: "My two ears heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was saying: 'I had forbidden you from eating the meat of the sacrificial animals after three [days], so eat and store [it], for Allah has brought abundance. And I had forbidden you from some things regarding drinks, or fermented beverages, so drink, but every intoxicant is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting the graves, so if you visit them, do not say anything obscene.'"
