Musnad Ahmad 31:643

Yazid narrated to us, Dawud informed us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa’id, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land of dabb (lizards). What do you command us?" He said: "It has reached me that a nation from the Children of Israel was transformed into beasts, and I do not know which beasts they are." He said: So he neither commanded nor forbade.
