Musnad Ahmad 31:751

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, he said: It was asked about *al-‘azl* (coitus interruptus). He said: Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was asked about that. He said: "Are you the one who creates it? Are you the one who provides for it? Let it remain in its place of settlement (or its place of rest), for it is only the decree."
