Musnad Ahmad 31:809

Ali ibn Asim narrated to us, he said: Suhayl ibn Abi Salih informed me, from his father, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever follows a funeral procession, let him not sit down until it is placed [on the ground]."
