Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, Shahr narrated to me, he said: Abu Sa’id al-Khudri narrated, he said: "While a man from Aslam was with his flock of sheep, beating down leaves for them in the desert of Dhu al-Hulayfah, a wolf attacked him and snatched a sheep from his flock. The man shouted at it and threw stones at it until he rescued his sheep from it. Then the wolf approached until it sat on its haunches, raising its tail, facing the man." [He then mentioned the rest of the hadith similar to the hadith of Shu’ayb ibn Abi Hamzah.]
