Musnad Ahmad 31:86

Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed in a single garment, placing its two ends over his shoulders." Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Isma’il ibn Raja’, from his father, and from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab, both of them from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said: Marwan brought out the pulpit on a day of Eid, and he used not to bring it out, and he began with the sermon before the prayer, and he used not to begin with it. He said: A man stood up and said: "O Marwan, you have contradicted the Sunnah. You brought out the pulpit on a day of Eid, and it used not to be brought out on a day of Eid, and you began with the sermon before the prayer, and it used not to be begun with." He said: Abu Sa’id al-Khudri said: "Who is this?" They said: "So-and-so, son of so-and-so." He said: Abu Sa’id said: "As for this man, he has fulfilled what was upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Whoever among you sees an evil, then if he is able to change it with his hand, let him do so.'" And he said once: "Let him change it with his hand; if he is not able with his hand, then with his tongue; and if he is not able with his tongue, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith." Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (ﷺ) regarding His saying: {And they are in heedlessness} [Maryam: 39], he said: "In the world."
