Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj narrated to me, Shu‘bah narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa‘id, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Let not the fear of people prevent any one of you from speaking the truth when he knows it." Abu Sa‘id said: "Trials did not cease to befall us until we fell short, and we have reached a state of evil." Hajjaj said in his narration: "I heard Abu Nadrah."
